Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
Bibiana is a strong voice in addressing the injustices that many marginalized people in society experience, and in ensuring inclusive environments for all. She is the cofounder and Executive Director of the Réseau Interuniversitaire Québécois pour l’Équité, Diversité et Inclusion (RIQEDI), a nonprofit organization that brings together Quebec universities as well as several stakeholders in the university community who have the mandate or desire to promote and integrate the values of equity, diversity and inclusion within their institutions.
Bibiana is also the Director of Partnerships, Learning and Training Development at the Institut Équité Diversité Inclusion Intersectionnalité (EDI2). With a multidisciplinary background in political science, Latin American studies, management, and industrial relations (HR), she has managed projects in innovative, creative and academic industries, well-being at work, skills development, knowledge management, equity, diversity and inclusion management, discrimination in organizations, and unconscious bias.
Bibiana is currently coordinating and contributing to developing the Master’s degree in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at Université Laval, and is enjoying the opportunity to teach in the program.
Bibiana works as a consultant through her company CIDI, and is a PhD candidate in industrial relations (human resources).
Ethical Leadership, Risk, and Resilience
Debbie’s proven, practical strategies for fostering a “speaking up” culture and more conscious, ethical approaches to leadership and decision-making help executives and boards create cultures of integrity and inclusion. She uses stakeholder-focused frameworks for managing compliance, ethical and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) risks and opportunities, and helps integrate them into operations and culture to support individual and organizational resilience.
With degrees in both engineering and law, Debbie’s pragmatic approach is informed by decades of in-house leadership and consulting roles in compliance and ethics, legal, environment and safety, security, sustainability, strategic planning, human capital management, and communications—as well as C-suite experience.
Having previously served as general counsel and chief compliance officer for two chemical companies, as well as other leadership roles in corporations and in two ethics & compliance training companies, she has an uncommon perspective and profound understanding of the needs on both sides of the client/vendor relationship.
Debbie is passionate about learning, teaching, and helping others see how the dots connect. She is the Founder and President of Resiliti.
