As a former corporate executive, Dr. Gube’s professional practice incorporates a sophisticated appreciation for the nuanced complexity of the real world of work, while rooting her methodology in scientific evidence.

Dr. Gube’s award-winning research on why women leave Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields—recognized on both sides of the Atlantic, including dual 1^st prizes (jury and attendees) from the Gender Summit North America—continues to inform the broader conversation on inclusion and workplace dynamics.

Growing up in Finland among forests, paper mills, and engineers, Dr. Gube developed an interest in how things are made and how things work. Among other firsts, she was the first woman on the executive committee of a large manufacturing organization in the transportation industry.

Dr. Gube’s work has spanned decades with clients ranging from industry to education, equipping her with a deep understanding of the cultural contexts that allow teams to be adaptive in the face of uncertainty and disruption. Through her research and professional practice, she empowers leaders and teams to harness the Science of Emotions^TM to build psychological safety, cultivate emotional agency, embody resilience, and design collaborative, high-performing cultures.

As a lifelong learner, Dr. Gube’s professional practice reflects her belief that every individual— child and adult—deserves to be heard and encouraged to lean into their interests and abilities. Having unschooled one of her three (now adult) children, she understands the power of unique takes on learning and development, and is not afraid to look outside the box for innovative (and sometimes unconventional) approaches.
